Please kindly note :
1. These are tentative dates only, we will have online presentation until further notice, depending on the COVID situation and availability of the school hall /gym. The assemblies are scheduled such that clashes with other school events are kept to a minimum. Please feel free to bring up any concerns of possible clashes.
2. Y13: optional short presentation (to say good bye) before their study leave on March 31st, 2022. They will have to coordinate with the class making the presentation closest to their study leave. Alternatively, this can be recorded and be shown to the whole school before the end of the school year.
3. Y11 study leave starts on April 25th, 2022. Y11 students may also say good-bye by making a video.
4. Smaller audience after Y11 / Y13 on study leave.
Online social media related topics may involve personal, social, health, and citizenship issues.
Students may consider talking about some organisations or charity events, or invite speakers to come in. Here are some suggestions:

Career Education
Please consider linking career education in your assembly presentation. This is to help students gain insights into how certain subjects and professions are related. Through making such connections, students will hopefully try to explore more about the required qualifications as well as opportunities that lie within the subjects or professions covered. It is hoped that students will gain a better understanding of the importance of planning their future education and career paths, and be able to make informed decisions for their future, including choosing courses for their IGCSE, IB, university, and even beyond.
Homeroom teachers can work with subject teachers to help students make connection between their chosen subjects and possible careers. Students will do searches finding duties and responsibilities of people in different jobs. It is also important to show their corresponding required qualifications and how subjects are interrelated.
Values Education
We hope to foster values education discussions and exchanges not only in PSHE classes, but also through different activities in school. There are four textbooks available for Year 7 to Year 11 in the library. Hopefully teachers will find these books helpful, especially when it comes to character-building, and how (work) values are related to careers choices in the future.
